It has the distinct and privileged honor of being the first wristwatch with an automatic movement with alarm function (enabled by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 815), achieved in 1956. Since 1968, the production of the Memovox has been, well, dormant-but make no mistake its possession is today highly prized. <br />Respecting the distinct and privileged honor of the original Memovox, Jaeger LeCoultre has created the brand new Master Memovox that will make its debut at the umcoming SIHH 2010. <br />Size at 40mm, a chosen size perfect from a wide range of wrists, the case is done in either stainless steel or rose gold. The solid case back is engraved with the new logo "Master Control". The case construction is water resistant to 50 meters. <br />Beating inside it the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 956 introduced in 2008. this self-winding, a descendant of the the Caliber 815 beats at 28,800 alternations per hour and delivers 45 hours power reserve. Composed of 268 individual parts, it is assembled and decorated by hand. It features a large variable inertia balance and a rotor mounted on ceramic ball bearings that does not require lubrication or maintenance. The wheels are equipped with an innovative tooth profile to ensure better engagement. It has equipped with a quick date adjustment as well. <br />The silver dial of the Memovox is punctuated by numerals marking the 6, 9 and 12 hours, while the 3 o'clock position gives way to the date.
