The second area of the museum is where short-lived exhibitions take place: each year the museum hosts nigh 3 or 4 exhibitions, including retrospectives, Turkish modern craft and international present-day craft works. <br />The exhibition Pureblood Reflections is one of the first temporary events hosted in the museum in 2009. It is a particular exhibition, and it is based above the works realised by the photographer Peter Müller Peter namely are devoted to the Yeguada de la Cartuja horses,<a href="http://www.teesneakers.com/dc_life_collection" target="_blank" class="postlink">http://www.teesneakers.com/dc_life_collection</a>, a particularly well-known breed which was present by the tribunals of Europe by far the 12th century. This type of nag, also understood as Cartujano, is thought as the purest tug of the Andalusan breed, and is characterised by beautiful proportions, graceful campaigns, a noble and docile ecology and stamina. These horses are commonly grey (but some of them are black or chestnut), they have small ears and a wide forehead. It is probably thanks to their noble proportions, and to their presence at the main European tribunals, that several artists have judged to portray them in their works. An testify of this is given by the exhibition held at the Istanbul museum of modern and contemporary art. <br />The go realised along Peter Müller Peter namely particularly interesting, for with his works he portrays this propagate in a fashionable path, yet too because the artist shows how it is feasible to merge two assorted varieties of elegant expressions: painting and photography. Müller, indeed, took some photographs of those horses, and then he added them to some famous paintings realised along important artists, such as Rubens, Velázquez, Goya, Macke and Carpaccio, who characterized horses of to the same propagate.
