My preference episode was titled "Walkabout". In it, we study that the secret outdoorsman Locke was really paralyzed from the waist down ahead getting ashore the doomed 815 flight which broke and, somehow, gave him the use of his legs back. <br />Locke was actually maneuvering to work on a Walkabout, which is an outdoor adventure. But the actuator, seeing Locke's limitation, forbade him to go. Angrily Locke shouted "Don't tell me what I can't do!" We then flash amenable to the aircraft crash, and see Locke on the floor, slowly moving his legs. Then stand up. And wade. <br />You can probably surmise where I'm going with this, yet before you write this off as dissimilar "motivational" story, stay with me for a minute. <br />I've had many "Locke Moments" in my life. Although I've never said his line to anyone before, I've sure thought it. When you're born with the umbilical ligature mantled around your neck and barely live, you habituated to people telling you what you can't do. <br />First, physicians told my parents that if I did live I wouldn't be active at entire. I'd basically be a vegetable. They told my parents to put me in a family. They didn't listen. I went through physical treatment multiple periods a week and was quite decided for a children.
