Further track closures are predicted and trainer Michael Peterson &ndash; a major player at Oxford stadium &ndash; is on record as stating: “The sport itself is in turmoil, absolute turmoil.” <br />Targeted promotions including reduced admission, attracting hen and stag parties, special deals in restaurants etc., have been applied across greyhound racing over the past few years with limited success and industry working parties have attempted to get to the bottom of the decline in popularity of the sport <a href="http://www.givekicks.com/nike_air_max/nike_air_max_95" target="_blank" class="postlink">nike airmax 95</a>,. but with a astonishing lack of clarity. <br />The closure after Boxing Day 2009 of Coventry&rsquo;s Brandon Road greyhound track is yet another nail in the coffin of the greyhound racing in the United Kingdom. Wimbledon, home of the Greyhound Derby, is also to undergo major refurbishment as the track&rsquo;s owners have offered up the current main grandstand and car park for redevelopment purposes. <br />The fight goes on at Walthamstow with a strident protest group supported by Waltham Forest borough council and also by local MPs, battling with the developers to return greyhound racing to the track.
