It signed an agreement with the Ministry of Commerce to promote the "Thousand-Hundred-Ten Project", in a bid to propel the development of China's modern service industries and structural upgrade of foreign-oriented industries; IBM and the Ministry of Education jointly signed MOU on Curriculum Development of Services Science, Management and Engineering, thereby introducing service science courses into Chinese institutions of higher learning; it teamed up with the Ministry of Health to facilitate the establishment of medical information service sharing platform and improve the quality of regional medical services. By taking these moves, IBM hopes to bring its advanced expertise in global IT services to China, and help Chinese enterprises and governments achieve innovation, thereby lending stronger support to the growing development needs of China's service sectors.
